Alexander Ross Hernandez founded ARH with a clear purpose: to provide high-caliber legal representation that combines intellectual rigor with strategic clarity and a deep commitment to justice. Under his leadership, the firm has earned a reputation for being smart, driven, and client-focused—handling complex trial and appellate matters with the discipline, compassion, and professionalism that clients deserve.

A dedicated civil trial and appellate attorney, Mr. Hernandez represents individuals, families, and businesses in high-stakes disputes across Texas and beyond. His clients often describe him as the “most competent” and “most driven” attorney they’ve worked with—a reflection of his meticulous preparation and relentless focus on outcomes. In 2023 and 2024, he was honored by Thomson Reuters as a “Texas Rising Star,” an award given to only 2.5% of Texas attorneys with similar years of experience.

A sixth-generation Texan from Flatonia, Mr. Hernandez is proud to serve the community where he was raised. As a first-generation college graduate, he remains committed to pro bono work and mentorship, particularly for those from modest or rural backgrounds. Outside of his legal practice, he enjoys hiking Colorado’s 14ers and spending time with his wife, two daughters, and son.

His educational achievements reflect the same drive and discipline that define his legal career. After graduating fourth in his class from Flatonia High School, he earned his B.B.A. from Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School, graduating summa cum laude and in the top 1% of his class. He then attended the University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated in the top 10%, served as a Notes Editor for the Texas Law Review, and worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant in constitutional law.

Mr. Hernandez began his legal career by clerking for the Honorable Leslie H. Southwick on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where he assisted in drafting judicial opinions and preparing for oral arguments. This formative experience continues to shape his approach to appellate strategy and judicial persuasion. During and after law school, he also pursued graduate study in public policy, earning a Master’s degree in Government from Harvard University’s Extension School with a thesis on geographic diversity in higher education and a perfect record on the Dean’s List.

At ARH, Mr. Hernandez leads a team of professionals committed to delivering exceptional legal advocacy with wisdom, care, and purpose. Whether at trial or on appeal, the firm stands ready to represent those facing complex legal challenges—bringing thoughtful, principled, and results-oriented representation to every matter they handle.
